AMBULUWAWA   TOWER  


The history of the ambuluwawa tower dates back to the 13th century during the reign of king buwanekabahu IV. it is said that the ambuluwawa peak was the center of the gampola Kingdom during his reign. but there is nothing with historical or archaeological values in here.

Ambuluwawa is a biodiversity complex and Sri Lanka's first multi-religious (Hindu Kovil, Muslim Mosque, Buddhist temple and Cristian church) sanctuary situated in central highlands of the country. the tower is symbol of harmony between SriLankan's diverse religions According to Wikipedia, Ambuluwawa peak was the central monument of kingdom of king bhuvanaikabahu IV.  


Ambuluwawa mountain peak has a height of 3567 feet above sea level. The tower  is visible from gampola train station it is located over 1000 feet above from the gampola town. the tower is located on the summit of the mountain peak since there are no other mountain peak since there no other mountain in the surrounding area and due to its uniqe.
The tower stands at height of approximately 48 meters and the elderly and kids not recommended to climb to the top of it. it is one of the coolest places to visit in srilanka. if you are for the challenge. Ambuluwawa tower gets an undisturbed view from away and vice verse
